What you can expect from TPS.
Weekly net salary: €685 - €900, depending on experience and overtime.
Accommodation: Free housing arranged and paid for by TPS. Each employee has a private bedroom in shared accommodation with Wi-Fi, and access to a shared kitchen and bathroom.
Transport: A company car (including fuel) is provided free of charge for all work-related travel. Employees who use their personal car receive €0.23 per kilometer for work-related travel.
Contract: Long-term cooperation is the goal — not short-term or temporary assignments.
Work schedule: Option to work on a rotation basis (e.g., 10–12 weeks working, followed by 1–2 weeks at home).
Health insurance: Fully organized and covered through a Dutch healthcare provider.
What you are going to do.
As a Heavy Goods Vehicle and Bus Mechanic, you will work in a modern, well-equipped workshop performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles — including diesel, hybrid, electric, and hydrogen-powered trucks and buses.
You’ll ensure that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for operation. Using advanced tools and diagnostic systems, you’ll be able to work efficiently, precisely, and to the highest technical standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Replacing or repairing components such as wheel bearings, brake linings, filters, wiper blades, and fluids.
- Conducting electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex vehicle systems.
- Checking oil and coolant levels, and inspecting for leaks in the cooling, braking, steering, and transmission systems.
- Inspecting and servicing brake systems, including discs, pads, calipers, and brake lines.
- Inspecting tires for pressure, wear, and damage, and performing necessary replacements or adjustments.
- Testing and inspecting lighting systems, including headlights, taillights, indicators, and fog lights.
- Checking the battery, starter motor, and charging systems.
- Performing diagnostic tests to accurately identify technical or mechanical issues.
- Inspecting the chassis, body, exhaust, and cooling systems, ensuring structural and operational integrity.
- Completing inspection and service reports, submitting documentation to the team leader for approval, and forwarding approved work orders to the billing department.
You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with other skilled mechanics and supervisors who share your commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
What we expect from you.
At least 3 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or overhaul of heavy goods vehicles or buses.
Educational background in automotive technology or mechanics.
Strong mechanical and technical understanding, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Good English communication skills (spoken and written).
A valid Category B driving license (Category C is a strong advantage).
Willingness to work in shifts or occasional weekend overtime.
Legal right to work in the Netherlands (valid work and residence permit required).
