Car breakdown and or stranded

What to do when your TPS car breaks down and/or you are stranded:
First of all safety first! So if possible try to park the car at a safe place.

If you are stranded at a dangerous location and/or it causes a life-threatening siutation for you or other drivers CALL 112.

What to do?

What you have to do exactly when your car breaks down and/or you are stranded depends on the car you are driving.

When driving a KIA Picanto, Citroën C1, Toyota Aygo or Peugeot Partner.
The necessary steps are:

  1. Call Athlon Drivers Desk: +31365474466 (option 1 / option 2)*;

  2. Follow their instructions;

  3. Inform the TPS Operations department. 

*Make sure to have the license plate, odometer reading (total kilometers driven by the car) and your location at hand.

When driving a Citroën Berlingo,
The necessary steps are:

  1. Call Citroën Assitance: +31206545638 (option 1)*

  2. Follow their instructions;

General information in case of a car accident

  1. Are there any injuries? CALL 112. Provide first aid. If it is not strictly necessary (e.g. for safety reasons), do not move an injured person, but put something warm over him or her, such as a coat or a blanket. No injuries? If there are no injuries and no serious damage, you can handle the collision yourself without contacting the emergency services;

  2. Bring yourself and others involved to safety by standing as far as possible on the right-hand shoulder (behind the crash barrier if possible) and put on a safety vest;

  3. If the cars can still move, try to drive the car(s) to a safe place as quickly as possible;

  4. Can't move the cars? Then set up your warning triangle and turn on your warning lights (if possible) to warn other traffic.If possible, take photos of the situation and the damage before moving the vehicles;

  5. Never leave the traffic accident without giving details to the other party. This is punisable by law, even in the case of a minor collision;

  6. Handle the damage by filing in a European claim form.

Car damage or issues

In case of car damage or issues of any kind (no matter what TPS car you drive) the necessary steps are:

  1. In case of a car accident (with others involved) check' general information in case of a car accident' above;
  2. Inform the TPS Operations department within 24hrs;
  3. Send pictures and a detailed description what the issue is or how the damage occured to operations@tps-levert.nl

Losing your fuel card

When driving a KIA Picanto, Citroën C1, Toyota Aygo or Peugeot Partner.
The necessary steps are:

  1. Call Athlon Drivers Desk to block the fuel card: +31365474466 (option 1 / option 4)*;

  2. Inform them you have lost your fuel card and ask them to block the card immediately;

  3. Inform the TPS Operations department so that TPS can order a new fuel card for you (only TPS can arrange this).

*Make sure to have the license plate and location of loss at hand.

When driving a Citroën Berlingo,
The necessary steps are:

  1. Call MoveMove Desk to block the fuel card: +31232016201 (option 4)*;

  2. Inform them you have lost your fuel card and ask them to block the card immediately;

  3. Inform the TPS Operations department so that TPS can order a new fuel card for you (only TPS can arrange this). 

*Make sure to have the license plate and location of loss at hand.
