Istvan's Journey: A journey from hungary to the Netherlands
Meet Istvan, a 34-year-old electrical engineer who recently made the move from Hungary to the Netherlands. Istvan works for TPS as an electrical engineer, where he has gained valuable experience working on a variety of projects for different clients. Currently, he is working on a project in Zwijndrecht for Van Meer, installing frequency regulators and PLCs to control panels on ships.
Working Abroad with TPS
As part of his role at TPS, Istvan often finds himself working in different countries around the world. In just over a year, he has had the opportunity to work in Portugal, Turkey (four times), France, and Lithuania. Istvan finds working abroad to be an enjoyable experience, as everything is well-organized and taken care of by the company. He also appreciates the opportunity to visit new countries while developing his professional skills. Currently, Istvan works as a Field Service Engineer or Commissioning Engineer, where he inspects and tests instrumentation on ships.
International Projects
Portugal Project: Istvan worked on a retrofit of a 20-year-old ship, where he and his team checked all of the electrical systems of two cranes. This included all control units, switch cabinets, frequency converters, and AC filter units. Istvan wired and connected new Siemens systems to replace the old ones and commissioned the ship until it was fully functional.
Turkey Project: Istvan worked for Damen Shipyards four times on different hybrid passenger ships. The first two times he made adjustments and performed cable work on these ships. The last two times, he worked as a Field Service Engineer, testing each component and resolving any issues on these ships.
France Project: Istvan worked as a field service engineer to resolve a problem with two drives, which were overheating. He successfully solved the problem.
Lithuania Project: Istvan replaced a water cooling system and revised hydraulic hoses on a dredging ship.

Istvan is highly satisfied with TPS and has never had any problems with payments. The housing arrangements are good, and his colleagues are fantastic. He has nothing negative to say about TPS and highly recommends the company to anyone looking for a job in the field. TPS is a well-organized organization with a great team that is always willing to help.
